Boracay, a 7 kilometers long tropical island in the Western Visayas is the most popular tourist destination in the Philippines particularly famous for its wonderful white sand beaches which are often voted as one of the most beautiful in the world. Being originally home to Ati tribe, it started its adventure with tourism in late 1970s and now, with over 1 million tourists coming there per year, is a top Filipino holiday destination with luxury hotels, big choice of restaurants serving delicious food and many other activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing and kiteboarding. Two biggest and most known Boracay beaches: 4 km long White Beach attracting people with its powdery white sand and Bulabog Beach, windsurfing and kiteboarding area, are located on opposite sides of the island, but you can easily find there also many smaller beaches making Boracay your real tropical paradise.
